Milestones
Milestones are found on UK highways and have a traditional charm so James Castings are producing milestones that are personalised or customised so that a village, town, city or country has a personal meaningful relevance as well as a distance and date. In examples shown below are milestones relevant to a romantic location (first meeting), a place of marriage, a place of significance in peoples lives. Distances can be shown to current locations and dates relevant to the important event.

Outdoor Concrete Milestone - Faro (a remembered holiday destination or significant location).
Outdoor concrete cast milestones are custom built to order.
Milestones can show a single or multiple destination locations and distance in miles or kilometres to the position of the milestone itself.
The locations can be sentimental locations with the distance shown exactly to the position where the milestone is finally sited.
Popular sentimental destinations are holidays, honeymoons, birth or childhood locations.
Lettering is in counter-relief (sunken).
Milestones are painted in masonry paint, typically white, and the lettering emphasized in black masonry paint.
For added accuracy or interest, distances can be shown with fractions or points i.e. 1/2 or .5
